TECH CHANGE TECH CHANGE

It's been a crazy week of GLORY DAYS at Signature. We have been teching the show over the past three days and are already well over 350 light cues.

We also continue to work and change the show. There's nothing harder than teching the show and changing it at the same time. But that's what we're doing. The actors are great about diving in and making the show the best it can be.

We did the first run last night. And although very helpful, there are still a bunch of technical changes and two big re-writes.

James and I worked on some major cuts at the top of the show. It was 1:00am, and I said, “James, it’s time to go.” But James and Nick had one more song and one more scene to work out. They stayed until 2:00am! But this morning, they played the new version for me, and it is dead-on. Now, it goes to the orchestrator. And we'll try to get it all in for tomorrow’s dress run.

Ahhhhh… the joys of a new show.

It's all going well but, we're all working 24/7 to create this piece. There’s great energy all over the building. So I can tell this show is special.

There was a great story on Nick and James in today’s Washington Post. If you didn’t get to see a hard copy, click here to read it. (registration may be required)

See you at GLORY DAYS!
