A CRAVING

This past weekend, I attended CRAVE for the fifth time. I love bringing people to the show to hear their reactions to this striking theatrical piece. It was great seeing the actors once again with such nuance in their performances. The impressive job they are doing performing this difficult play is tremendous. Some of the scheduled audience didn't show up, so I can only assume they read the review in the Post. I hope that’s not the case as there were also lots of really fantastic reviews praising the production. Sarah Kane's use of the English language and the images she paints are haunting and beautiful all at once. Many people and critics have been moved by the piece calling it "an extraordinary evening in the theatre," and we can't get much better than that. My friends want to come back and see it again as they said there are so many layers to absorb and they loved having the language wash over them and move them. I love when people are affected by theatre, moving them to want to discuss the experience. That’s what CRAVE has been doing for people who take the wild ride. As one subscriber told me, "I think this was the perfect show to open The ARK!" What I find fascinating is when people read one review and assume that that is what we are all supposed to think. The best thing is to come and make your own decision. I strongly encourage you to come with an open mind to this piece of theatre for a truly unique, challenging theatrical experience like only Signature can offer.
