The Word Begins

It’s an exciting time at Signature Theatre. We just moved into our new two-theater complex two weeks ago and we’re already work-shopping a new play in the Shen Rehearsal Room.

The Word Begins is a 90-minute, two-man show that celebrates the spoken word, the human heart, and the challenging world of America today. Written and performed by Steve Connell and Sekou "Tha Misfit," these young men are two of the country’s premier spoken word artists. Directed by Robert Egan, readings of The Word Begins will be offered on Friday, December 8 at 8:00pm and Saturday, December 9 at 2:00pm and 7:00pm, at the new Signature Theatre complex located in Shirlington Village at 2800 S. Stafford St., Arlington, Virginia, at the corner of S. Stafford and S. 28th Streets. Readings will be held in the Shen Rehearsal Room on the 4th floor and free parking is available in the garage adjacent to Signature Theatre. Driving and parking directions will be available on www.signature-theatre.org by Thursday, December 7.

A limited number of seats will be open to the public. Tickets are free, but reservations are required. To make a reservation, please call our workshop reservation hotline at (571) 527-1824.
