BEGINNING TO SOAR

This has been an exciting week of previews. It's been an education of what kind of audiences we might expect during the run. We've had people who find it quite funny (which I agree with), a few who are offended and decide not to stay, and the quiet crowd... which we never know how to react to. Feedback has been that the show is "intense and long but brilliant."

Joe [Calarco] has changed the ending three times this week and finally found that "brilliant" solution. I have worked with Joe previously and seen all of his local productions. His vision and stage pictures are always so beautiful. NEST is no different.

As we prepare for our opening on Sunday night, there is sadness as we know that Joe and Bash will be leaving us. There will be a void once they go and trust us with the material. But that is the time when we begin to soar. They have been so supportive and wonderful during the rehearsal process. We will miss them.
