DELIGHT

I’m sitting in tech right now, looking at the actors in their costumes for the first time. I am over-excited.

Kate Turner-Walker, our costume designer, has outdone herself. Everyone looks fabulous. I never want to write a play with modern dress again! I’m getting the same buzz that I used to get when I was a kid and played dress up. It reminds me of why I wanted to work in the theater in the first place. You can’t really get more theatrical than actors in early nineteenth century pants and dresses and vests and pince-nez! Vanessa is wearing a corset!

I am delighted.
