Sunday’s rehearsal was all about spacing the show on the set. It’s been a joy seeing the show blow up to full scale coming from the cramped quarters of the rehearsal room where only one-third of the set floor fit into the space. The set goes entirely to the back wall of the theater so I love having the depth on this show.
Well, once again, we didn't get through the entire show, but came close. One of these days we’ll make it through a full run from top to bottom, but it’s a big old monster of a show. It doesn't look like it on paper, but it’s much more complicated than I think any of us could have imagined. By the end of the rehearsal everyone was very tired. It was a long day with lots of changes at the end of one long week. Everyone really just needs a day off to process everything that's happening right now because when we come back on Tuesday we add costumes, hair, sound, and lights.
