Note from Kathie Lee and new song to download

So in my last post I mentioned that Kathie Lee started her own blog talking about SAVING AIMEE rehearsals that she has on her website www.kathieleegifford.com. She has some fun photos up of the cast in rehearsal.

We're on a quick lunch break and she asked that I share these thoughts with all of you...

"Third week of rehearsals. Can’t believe we open for previews just two weeks from tonight. Eric runs such a tight ship at Signature that it feels weird not to be worried! It’s thrilling to watch the set go up – “bit by bit, putting it together” as Sondheim said so well.

And I’m so happy that Cassidy can be with us for a few days. The only difficult part so far is being away from home. She’s a breath of spring – although the gorgeous cherry blossoms are glorious to wake up to.

Happy Spring, Everyone.

Kathie Lee Gifford"

This is also a good time to give you another one of the many song samples I've promised! Last week's number, SAVING AIMEE is a gorgeous ballad sung by the incomparable Flo Lacey. This week I'm sharing the song STAND UP, which is a gospel-inspired number that's sure to have everyone jumping out of their seats. Click here for a listen. It's sung by the star of Signature's production, two-time Tony nominee Carolee Carmello, and the 2005 workshop production cast.
