SPLIT CITY

SAVING AIMEE rehearsals started this week with two cities going at once. The DC-based cast members are at Signature and the New York-based leads are rehearsing in New York for the first week. Next Monday we'll bring everyone together at Signature.

We had a great first day of reading the new script — making changes and seeing the amazing company we’ve assembled for this show. This picture of Carolee Carmello (starring as Aimee Semple McPherson), Kathie Lee Gifford (book and lyrics), Florence Lacey (appearing as Minnie Kennedy, Aimee's mom), and E. Faye Butler (appearing as Emma Jo) was taken on the first day of rehearsal and gives you an idea of this phenomenal cast I’m talking about. When these three ladies get together to sing on Signature’s stage they’re going to blow the roof off the new building!

I'll start posting daily rehearsal reports as we bring this world premiere musical to life as well as make a new song available each week for downloading so you can get a taste of the show.
