PREVIEWS BEGIN

Let the games begin. It was a long and hectic tech week with a lot happening. But we got it all done and made it through our first preview to a standing ovation. That was the happy sound we needed. There’s nothing better for a new musical to hear.

Now it begins all over again with cutting and trimming. One song and a reprise is getting cut, but a new reprise is getting added. Parts of scenes are being rewritten entirely. Rehearsal yesterday was all about changes. And we ended up trimming nine minutes of the running time. There’s still some more trimming to do in the coming days and more tightening of the show. But it's beautiful. I'm really proud, and its the largest production we have ever done here at Signature. We are all hard at work but enjoying every minute of it.
