AYE, STICK TO COWS.

Rehearsals for THE LIEUTENANT OF INISHMORE,our second play of the season, are well under way. Martin McDonagh’s play begins previews in The ARK Theatre in two weeks. It’s a huge undertaking for our small ARK space.

Director Jeremy Skidmore and a to die for cast are in rehearsals upstairs mastering their Irish accents, while our prop shop slaves away to figure out all the blood and gun affects.

Martin McDonagh’s play is probably as close to an action film as your likely to see on stage and it requires a lot of technical preparation. Gallons of blood will be used over the course of the run and there are several affects hidden throughout the set to make the gun fights as realistic and action packed as possible. All of these affects are being supervised by our fight choreographer Dale Girard. Dale comes to us straight from setting the fights for the recent production of Teller & Aaron Posner’s MACBETH at the Folger. You are sure to be blown away by all the amazing affects being planned.

We’ll keep you up to date over the next few weeks on all the happenings in the rehearsal room and scene shop to get ready for this killer comedy.
