NOW YOU KNOW

Yesterday we ran the entire show with tech. It was good to have a solid run before adding the orchestra — a luxury we usually don’t have. Everyone is excited to hear the orchestra today. As I said, the orchestra is rocking!

Now it’s about turning the screws — tightening the choreography here and there and making sure the tone of each scene is right. Setting the tone is the hardest thing about this show because it flips constantly with the presented conflicts. Nailing this change is very challenging for the actors because they flip and grow at the drop of a hat. But they'll have it by Tuesday's first preview.

The ensemble is getting clearer on which transition they are heading into — one said to me "This is the most exhausting show I have ever done." Between the brainpower and the dancing and body movements, they are definitely getting a work out.

Now you know!
